The model is a FZR400 RR 4DX .This is an official european import as opposed to the 3TJ that was a grey import. It's a 1992 model. I also have a 3TJ race bike.

Nice mate what have you done to her?

I'm riding a Thundercat commute wise.

Completely stripped and cleaned frame, engine and swingarm. Powder coated wheels, front and rear subframes, top and bottom yokes, rear foot peg hangers and various other bits. Rechromed all chrome bits . Painted engine casings. Rebuilt front and rear calipers. New bearings. Dream machine painted it. Plus lots of new nuts and bolts consumables, service parts of other bits and bobs. Taken about 18 months.
Next on the list is a 1983 Honda MTX80 liquid cooled 2 stroke.

Sounds an excellent project. What's your plans for her? Sell or enjoy?

I really like the Yahmaha's having fallen a bit for my Thundercat although the suspension feels like you are on a pogo stick at times and 2nd gear false neutrals are driving me nuts (technical issue maybe?).

What's the state of the Honda?

Won't be selling anytime soon unless someone makes me an offer I can't refuse. Honda's been started by someone. Needs painting, wiring loom has been removed with a combined harvester but I have most of the bits I think. Chroming and powder coating and a new loom, but until you start you don't known what you will find. On the plus side the engine runs ok.
