I have a day off in Malmö. Got 2 nights there. Can't wait for that. Just posted the Sundsvalls blog. Now I'm packing up and getting back on the road.

Very dangerous riding this afternoon. Torrential rain and flooded roads. Made it to the hotel and very grateful for that.
This is like Lancashire weather hope it clears up soon

A visit to a chiropractor is next on my list, sitting on the bike all these hours has played havoc with my old bones, so sitting on a nice sunny beach, cocktail in hand is very tempting.
But I think you mean biking trips. Someone in my other biking group mentioned Moscow. So that's a possibility or another trip I fancied was riding to Turkey and Greece through the Balkans, but that is definitely next year.

    I'm here tonight Jönköping
1000km from home, but next is Malmo and then Hamburg. I managed to dry off my gloves sufficiently this morning with the hair dryer and thankfully today it was mostly sunny and cloudy but no rain.

Well I'm home after the epic trip to the Nordkapp.
Total kilometers 7864 which is 4886 miles in three weeks. It was challenging but also extremely rewarding.
The bike ran perfectly inspite of some attrocious weather on a couple of days.
I met some awesome people and even though I was travelling alone didn't really feel alone.
The scenery in Norway is simply breathtaking and even though Scandinavia is expensive, you should try to visit there at least once.
I learnt a lot about the VStrom and myself and I'll write this up in the last blog for this trip.
I only had one near miss and that was this morning when some cars and I got stuck behind a car turning left. I looked behind for a clear spot and pulled around, only for the car in front to pull out in front of me, without looking. Had I been a couple of meters further up, she would have knocked me off. She never looked and pulled out so quickly I wouldn't have been able to do anything. I muttered some choice words before getting around her.
The bike is absolutely filthy as you can imagine but Waspy can stay like that till tomorrow.

Thanks. My bottom felt every single mile. Might try to use the slightly higher but more comfortable standard seat on my next big trip, cos after 2 hours I need to get off. The low seat is lacking enough padding

I have a very comfortable seat, and I need off every two hours or so, regardless.
