thanks mate I am 100% its the discs and the way i ride if the shop puts new OEM discs on they will not last 2000 miles. then i will just put Brembo discs on. Triumph should be ashamed not putting Brembo discs on with the Brembo brake calipers. The OEM discs are not up to the job. Will wait and see what the shop says. ether way i will be taking the bike back if they do not fix it. will then fix it myself and then put a review on this site and there site listing the total Feck up from start to finish that they have done or not done i should say and name the shop. Or if its all sort out in a far time. then that's the end of it. watch this space.
Thanks mate but you know how shops go I don’t think they will have even looked at it in the next 2 weeks then I will be going back for it and then feck them the shit will hit the fan. And I will take the bike back. And make sure my review of the shop get everywhere.
UPDATE Got the bike back yesterday the shop say they felt the juddering under hard braking. They checked it with the abs connected and disconnect and it was still there. So not abs fault. They checked the run out on the discs they are both spot on. One is 0.00 perfect the other is 0.003 so nothing to worry about. They cleaned and scratched up the brake pads. Re texted the bike and said it was all fixed. I took the bike out and within 15 miles it was back. Took the bike out this morning just to re check it as the shop are ringing me back tomorrow. And within 4 miles of hard ish braking from 50mph down did that 8 or 9 times and it was back. Seam ok for cold but as soon as you start braking a lot it comes back. Then I rode up and down the road with the brake just on a bit and it started and stayed doing it. At slow speeds it’s ok But when discs warm it’s 100% there and gets worse the harder/hotter the braking is. The manager of the shop say it can not be warped discs and I agree as they have been tested But I am now thinking it’s hot judder (look it up on google) anyway shop which I do understand do not want to replace the discs and pads if that’s not the fault, but I can not think of anything else it can be. I might have said bad pads but they cleaned and checked them so guess they would have spotted anything Anyway shop rings me tomorrow and I am going to say replace the discs or take the bike back. So it looks like I may not own a triumph come tomorrow . Shame really nice bike but can not be ridden as it is. And shop will have to sort it if they are going to sell it on. The shit continues

That first picture of the discs looks like there’s been some corrosion eaten into the surface at some point. There’s definitely some flaw in the surface. Either that or the pad surface is melting and being deposited onto the disc. Either way, I’d be looking for new discs and pads. Good luck with getting it sorted mate.
Disc run out is spot on 1 is 0.00 the other 0.003 so 100% cock on. just cleaned every ring on the floating discs they were all spot on. Just checked and re set the calipers as per clip from Sprinter so that's all good. I think the marks on the disc could be from wear they have scratched the pads up, they may not have bedded in yet ? not 100% on that. Just took the bike out to re test it and still once heat in the discs/pads its doing it a judder right though the front end and can feel it though the lever ? All i can think of is bad pads but shop checked them of heat judder where the disc is heating up and the disc is not the same thickness all round, or a problem with one of the calipers but i know all the pistons move fine and am sure would have also checked/cleaned them ?.. if its not that i an at a loss. Shop ether take the risk and fit new discs and pads or they can have it back. If i was riding at !00% it would be like riding over cobbles when braking.As it is it feels like when you come up to a roundabout and go over the yellow strips
Hi Mate had the same problem on another bike the replacement came in the form of an EBC floating disc it probably was not cheap but it never juddered and shook again perfect braking now,
Englishbandit Hard to say but I think those disc's are knackered. There is a lip around them and that will hamper braking. Regards Joe.
Hard to tell but they sort of look discoloured almost as if they’ve got hot and that will warp the buggers
there not warped. and have only done 4800 miles of really light use. But even my local bike shop said you can have straight discs but still have juddering if there is a problem with the metal in the discs. They even said we would not even waist any time they would just change the discs and pads as is clear its the problem.and have seen it before. shit they have there own racers so know what they are talking. Un like a lot of Triumph dealers (and other main dealers ) they are not technicians ? they are real mechanics.
Hope you get it sorted have you looked at the calliper itself mounting bolts ect sounds silly I know also something I overlooked years ago headstock had slack in it so when I applied the brakes the front juddered just some ideas may help
If head stock lose it still would not judder. It would move forward when brake is pulled and stay forward till you stop or release the brake then pop back.(had it before on another bike) when brake is on its a constant pressure. Its the Discs so discs and pads need changing . called shop 3 times so far once at 9.30 then 12 then 12.30 and manager can not be found at the moment ? Really. They have till 4 pm then they can stick the fecking bike were the sun don't shine and have it back.No way should I be putting up with this. 4 weeks had the bike and they have had it back twice and had it 3 of the 4 weeks and its still not fixed. They just do not want to have to pay to replace the discs and pads. A warranty is a warranty so it needs fixing. They are that fecking stupid, if I reject the bike which looks like that will be happening today they will still have to change the pads and discs for the next owner as it can not be sold the way it is. Triumph are now starting to take the piss. If this is not sorted out asap. I will put the full story from when I bought the bike and you will not believe what they did and did not do from the time I bought the bike. Really is a joke from a main dealer. Had better customer service from a small back street garage.
UPDATE no longer a speed triple owner they are coming to pick the bike up this week I am told. just waiting for the date. Thank fuck for that. never have i had a shop drag its feet when it comes to a fault that needed fixing. Well what will the new bike I get be this time ?
Have a go on an Aprilia Tuono, the V2 is a lovely bike, and loads about at sensible money, or if you're a bit more flush then a V4 for the full bonkers package!
