Do you mean the play along the bar, not the slack on twisting the throttle?

How much slack are you talking about, and what bike? According to manuals there should be a couple of millimetres but more than that should be able to be taken out by adjusting the throttle cables.
Personally I adjust mine to the tighter end of adjustment and it works ok for me.

I had this on a 2016 Speed Triple
I cut some spare plastic cable clips to the shape and size needed and super glued them in place (any hard plastic will do)
Reduced the slack from 5mm to about 1mm that I can comfortable with
Stupid ride by wire throttles with excess slack and no way of adjusting them

that sounds like a plan I was on the verge of ordering some from america they wanted 40 quid which seems ridiculous for what you get. when you say clips do you mean cable ties or the clip with the nail sticking out of it thanks.

Anything really, it just happened to be at hand when I was in the garage

I suppose an old credit card or membership card of some sort may be better, if you get the correct thickness to fill the gap

Just make sure you do a sturdy job, you don't want loose plastic bits screwing up with your throttle

I also read about the RBW throttle slop. $45 is crazy for 2 small pieces of plastic. I suppose i could just make up some plastic to close up the gap, but until i read about the slop i really didnt notice it. I just got used to it and it doesn’t bother me at all.

Couple of bits of heat-shrink on the appropriate lugs will do it.

I installed a set as soon as i bought my Speed Twin. Much more precise throttle, takes up all the slack. I love them, such a simple item. No more jerking around.
