10 Days to go Yes next Thursday I set off for the ride to Hamburg for the first leg of my Arctic Trip. For those who were not at the GMU or haven’t donated yet, please try to make a donation no matter how small. It’s for Cancer Research UK and every penny or cent counts. Thanks very much Waspy goes in for his 12000km service tomorrow and the dealer is letting me watch the mechanic so I’ll have a bit of knowledge if Waspy decides to play up. May need a new back tyre as with 12000km on the clock it’s not going to last the full journey and it’ll probably be cheaper than buying one in Norway.
We’ll be with you every inch of the way lass I’d get a new tyre on Nikki, it’ll also reduce the risk of punctures
Service done plus 2 new tyres. They’re saving my old tyres as there’s still a few thousand miles on them but not enough for my trip. I was able to see how to change all 4 spark plugs and do the oil and filter change. Here’s a couple of photos from this morning.
It is really helpful when get a good dealer/technician who is prepared to help you out... not long now Nikki.
Update. The Arctic Trip is definitely on. My Dad does have cancer on his pancreas but it’s stable. The stent they inserted seems to be working and the jaundice is slowly going. He’s also eating much better. They won’t do any cancer removal surgery on him due to his age and the dangers of the operation. He’ll have another scan in October. Now I need to get packing. 2 sleeps to go.

900kms done since leaving home. weather was horrible yesterday in Holland but cheered up hugely in Germany and was very warm and mostly sunny here in Hamburg. Today I rode from Hamburg via Denmark to Sweden and I'm now in Malmö. Weather was nice today. Might be getting a tan. I've got loads of photos and video but the life of a motorbike blogger is a busy one. I'll try to get some pictures posted up today Tomorrow I start to head north towards Oslo. Waspy is running like a dream (maybe I shouldn't say things like that). But anyway me and Waspy are well. Going to do a bit of exploring in Malmö now and grab some dinner. @MrOrange Ron maybe this thread should be moved to the touring one. Cheers

Haha, no mate Not a fan of spicy food, more of an Italian, Chinese or French style prefer garlic and herbs to spices
It was lovely but a bit spicy. I always try to find an Indian Restaurant when I'm out and about. Had a fantastic one in Lisbon Portugal. It's glorious here. Not a cloud in the sky. Malmö has surprised me how nice it is.
