Yeah, damn noobs, finding this forum after developing an interest in Triumph or wanting to share camaraderie and information with like owners. What an inconsiderate bunch we are. A damn imposition!!

But one day, perhaps when you've fermented, you might need us when you're seeking advice that only a new guy/gal can offer. Power to the newbies!!

 

Get your nanny to follow you a bit closer then when you misplace your card or it falls out of your pushchair she can pick it up straight away

I told my mate that he should keep his card in one of those special wallets that stop the card getting scanned in his pocket, then he came up with the bright idea of putting it inside the silver paper alongside his fags, It's never been seen since he smoked his last one that day and chucked the packet away.

 

Please hang around, join in and generally take part. It's just some many post in newbies, and that is all we ever see of them.

The rant really was tongue-in-cheek, but it would be nice if even 1 the 100's of newbies actually came in and took part.
I do tend to just skip newbie posts, unless title interests me, and even when I welcome them, chances are you never hear from them again. We do get a few, but they are few & far between.

 

The ones that grip my shite are the ones who come on without any introduction, ask a question then disappear without so much as a thanks for any input & advise that they are given!

 

I think I didn't introduce myself and just came in with a question about insurance, then once I was hooked, you probably wished I'd got away lol.

 

The ones I can’t abide are the idiots who only contribute quips and meaningless drivel.

I am on a couple of Honda forums and also MV and that is consistent across all boards. The worst, in my view, are those who again with no intro, go straight in and try to sell their bike! Not sure about that on here (yet) but many forums have a sort of qualifying post count before bikes/items can be sold.

Anyway, I'll be hangin' around whilst i'm flicking between forums and Russian Brides dot com!!

I get a load of kids on the bus trying to use contactless ( its all we have on the buses) and it doent work. Loads of different banks. I think its cause its their first cards, the banks give them chip and pin only.
