My dogs are a bit sensitive to most food brands.
The only one that seems to have no issues is Natural Instincts Pure Duck and Pure Turkey.
    nb the Duck smells better:)

    What about after? :)

We used to get 2 venison hinds a year as part of our agreed pay deal (!) and I can state most categorically that you should not give a dog venison. Talk about gas! Seriously it was like having a little two stroke engine running in the corner of the room, with a very bad stinking exhaust... Popopopopopoparp!

Will have a look for the Natural Instincts foods though. Thanks for the heads up.

I used to have a Labrador who became very intolerant of most food brands in his older years. After recommendation from a Rottweiler breeder, who used to feed all her dogs on it, I switched to Burgess Supadog Sensitive and that sorted my Lab out. It also has the added benefit that it is relatively cheap, about half the price of what I currently feed my Staffie X.

I think you could be right, my Lab lived to 16 years old, and other than the food intolerance, was fit until the last few months.

He is fed raw. Chicken carcasses, pet mince, heart, liver, kidneys all from the local wholesale butchers, eggs and the odd can of sardines. Cheaper than any processed foods as long as you know what you're doing with it :cool:

On the subject of dog food and canine diets - I KNOW NARTHING!

But, my missus is fastidious in pursuit of the most suitable dietary food for our border collie, Moss, and has spoken to vets, suppliers, other owners and trainers and uses HILLS or SIMPSON 80/20 (80% meat; 20% rice, etc.) or AATU.

Moss runs with my wife pretty much every day, usually a minimum of 5 or 6 miles, and has done a couple of 33 mile cross country (Dartmoor and Exmoor, so tough terrain) runs, and many other long runs. She is the proverbial 'butcher's whippet' in terms of fitness. Moss, that is. Actually, both of 'em are - dog and missus! :D

Wouldn't swap my missus for the world, Vulpes. I managed to punch WAY above my weight when I met and married this one and don't intend trading ...... apart from anything else, she rides a Street Triple and hasn't yet complained about my collection of motorcycles, the numbers of which seem to be constantly increasing.

Some peoples reactions are really bizarre, and its comical walking him sometimes, most people can't get out of the way fast enough, but he is also a hit with the ladies. :)

He's a rescue staffie cross, really fun and sweet natured.

Adie P, your missus sounds like someone I'd like to meet and ride with! The women here in Tucson that I ride with seem to more often than not have some reason (excuse) for not riding. "Gotta see the grandkids." "Gotta make a quilt." Gotta clean the house." "My bike doesn't start" (because it has't been ridden in months). Sheesh! :p I mean, where are their priorities? ;)

Like your wife, my hubby hasn't complained about my collection of motorcycles either, bless his heart. We have four bikes in our garage and he owns one. I wouldn't swap him for the world!

I got so fed up of the behaviour of some other dogs (usually spaniels & small terrier types) and their owners, that I used to wear a GoPro for a while, just to record the number of times that small dogs (off lead) agressively came at mine and the number of times that the owners said "oh hes only playing"

People seem to think it's acceptable or tolerable because they're small but they would be the first to tut, complain and scream "devil dog" if my 47kg Ridgeback displayed the same behaviour :mad:
