I wonder if Dilligaf will start a new ‘guess what bike they’ve given me’ thread. Hopefully it won’t go on for as long as the sodding garage door saga as Triumph don’t have that many models (unless we have to guess the colour too)... we’d guess it within 30 pages - probably.

Weighed my new street triple front and rear, ordered a tank protrection strip, got some straps to hang it from the rafters to help setup the sag by myself. Drank a beer and starred at sexy beast

Just as a point of interest and to anyone curious....
When I got home I weighed all the luggage as was. This includes a spare pair of light trainers, clothes, waterproof all in one, stove and cooking stuff, tent, sleeping bag and mat, wash kit and towel. The only thing not fully representative was food as I'd eaten it.

40 lbs all in including tank bag, rear bag and various waterproof liners.

That means that the Triumph 765 rs and kit for a few days away is no heavier than the Honda CB1000r that I used to have in normal day to day trim.
    Result :)

Rode to Luton Airport and back. Two miles from home sitting at some lights, I feel an intense pain on the inside of my left thigh. I look down and its pissing out boiling hot coolant from the expansion tank. I know exactly what it is as it only happened about 10 months ago although not as painfully. What is it about these bloody Triumph rad caps that makes them fail so easily and can I sue for pain and discomfort.

True. Although I have suffered the leaking K&N oil filter syndrome as well. Not painful though, as I managed not to fall off, just.

Took this little cheeky bugger for an mot, its passed just waiting for the mot to be printed.

Its still a lovely bike to ride, in my view nicer than the new 765 and my speed rs.

Well, I pulled the Triumph out of the garage and spent some time polishing it and checking that things were tight etc before heading off to the Wirral Triumph Owners Club show. I went indoors to get the bone dome and gloves, this was the moment that it decided to fall over smash the indicator and bend the headlamp bracket. I picked it up put it back in the garage and started to look at repairing the damage. The indicators are Joseph Lucas crap so half the wiring loom has to be taken off to change one item. The bike is for sale now as this is the last straw, I only got the thing running right on Wednesday after fighting with the bike for 18 months. So today I went 20 feet with my Triumph1

Tiggers chain was slacker than a hooker’s cloaca. I tightened it and aligned the wheels.

Tigger also got a treat - a foam bath...

Here’s a bloody photo as proof. I’d not believe I cleaned my bike either...

Edit: Unfortunately there wasn’t a girlie in a bikini to give it a polish. Odd that really as all those photos of girls washing bikes gives the impression they’re at it all the time.
