Hi folks, new to the forum! awaiting delivery of new 2018 speedmaster. searching for any info on installing a set of lockable, hard, saddlebags for this model. I have used Viking bags on all my other bikes, but Viking has not kept up with product specific to the new model speedmaster (i.e. from dual shock models to monoshock) Viking lists bags only up to 2016 model year for the speedmaster, which have a shock cut out integral to the bags! Anyone who has managed such an installation on this bike either through specific product, or adaptor kits, etc, all inf and insight greatly appreciated
    cheers!

I couldn’t find anything either and probably couldn’t afford them anyway :(
    So I made these :)
Have a look at this section of the forum under something for NUDGER part three :) 2B76C4FF-28A3-4A64-880E-B82185543B7B.jpeg 1E466EE6-C4C6-4AB8-B9B0-9FD92252EE0F.jpeg

Made them?! That's impressive! I'm hoping to find a set up that will allow just a small amount of carrying capacity with at least some marginal security (locking). Viking makes several bag styles that would suit my purpose but have not as yet put a hardware mounting kit together specific to this new model. I have a Suzuki Boulevard C109 R/T that I use for any multiple- day trips/tours.
traded in a Honda shadow sabre 1100 on the new triumph to use as a local run-around bike. Factory triumph 'panniers are an expensive joke IMHO!

Three cheap as chips top boxes and a bit of fabrication mate and your ready to go :)
Can you do fabrication yourself or do you know someone?
Might be the quickest way to get sorted :)
I’ll be using these next week for a trip to the Isle of Man then probably never use them again

Hi 585nyati and welcome to the forum  hard to find item online as model is new, but checking a mounting system at a bike shop will give you options. Good luck and pic of your choice would be good.

What a brilliant idea. Think you've sorted my Tiger pannier problem

Finally got delivery of my speed master. Only able to get 187 kms on it so far. Vastly different ride than it’s stable mate for sure! (2009 Suzuki Boulevard R/T). Still unable to find a set of ‘made to fit’ locking hard bags, so may have to go with stock triumph pannier supports and a set of soft throw over bags for now.

Not hard bags but got these on Ebay, brackets were for Kawasaki cruiser so I made up some adapter plates to make them fit. Bags lock to brackets with a key and have small padlock loops to give some security. Seem to be good size for bike and allow for passenger which Triumph ones don't

Thanks camper man. That set up looks pretty good. I’m obviously going to have to seek out a fabricator to either adapt an existing bracket or build one from scratch to attach whichever bags I settle on. In the interim I may just get a set of soft, throw over leather bags, and see if the factory triumph Pannier support brackets will work to position/hold them away from rear wheel. I suspect they will be less than satisfactory for my purpose, and are an expensive experiment if they don’t work, at $220 ca., a pair! In the interim I am just rolling up on 730kms on machine so getting close to first service. No issues to note to date fortunately. One point of interest is all the Harley riders who approach me and compliment the looks of the triumph, lol.

Thanks, I will check that out. In meantime went with Saddleman throw over jumbo tattoo bags. Fabricated some bag guards from left over Suzuki Boulevard parts when I switched from stock to Viking bags.

I just bought racks for my new Speedmaster to mount the Hepco Becker Juniors I have been using on my Griso for the past 7 years.

    From the HB website:

Thanks, I really would have preferred to leave them off, but my wife can't carry much on her Street Triple so my bike ends up the pack mule. Function over form. And it is handy to have them for grocery / beer / wine runs.
