Just been out on mine, i took a couple of crafty beers and a pkt of nuts and sat on a big hill with a big view with my wife.

    Received my CORBIN seat.
Really like the look. Shape is better, doesn’t slide me into the tank like the factory seat does. Easier to move side to side on the seat as well. Very happy with the fit and finish.

Has anyone fitted a rear luggage rack to a thruxton, or anyone have one for sale? i thought just a small one for a small bag to put my beer in, and would double up as a grab rail.

That looks a nice seat, is it shaped like that at the edges so that you can get your feet down easier… or if you are shorter in the leg…?

I think that is the idea. I just find it more comfortable. Keeps you in the pocket better, and can shift your weight to the side easier while riding.

I’ve persevered with the shitty looking waxed panniers & rails. Scotland tour this year I bought a second hand pillion type seat which enabled me to attach a Kriega 20 litres, worked well. So, sorry no, I’m unable to help you on that one. Still enjoying your exhaust note?

Yes i am Ken, but my better half isnt so keen when shes onboard, i did see some standard ones on Ebay, they were brand new and got them for £38 so i had to get them for that price, so i swap them about a bit, as you say , you get used to them but when you swap them back they sound even louder so thats a good thing.
ive had my bike since Oct and have now done 3500 miles. ha.
and i love this bike i will never sell it.

Is that a seat re-covered by Corbin or a complete replacement, looks good

It is a complete new seat. Nice to have the factory still to swap back if desired.
Corbin uses a fibreglass seat pan and bonds their foam. Apparently a good process but isn’t as pretty underneath, and is heavier than say the Triumph or even the Sargent seat I have on another bike.
Overall, super happy with the Corbin.

Hey Glyn, have you looked on the website, you can customise and design your own seat, each panel can be whatever colour you want, you can even choose the colour of the stitching…..

You know one would look nice on your bike, it would be the finishing touch.

I’m loving the (almost) new V&H...I know they’re a bit quiet for some but I’m chuffed! Thanks Glynn again for your excellent service haha!
