cheers. I'm looking for the colours of the wires for the indicator circuit (battery to relay, relay to indicator switch, switch to indicators). I want to wire in a hazard switch.

Pretty much all modern Triumphs use the same colour cheme
Switched Power to Relay - Orange/Green
    Relay to Switch* - Light-Green/Brown
    To Left* - Green/Red
    To Right* - Green/White

    * These designate the main harness colours - in the switch sub-harness these are Orange, Green and Grey respectively

For a hazard switch you need to add a couple of diodes so it isolates from your regular use.

(not sure why - it won't let me delete the original diagram below - the incorrect part is just in the non-Ignition statement)

thanks for that - however, what is the purpose of the diodes? First time I havr seen the addition of these.

If you just connect both signals to the same pole of the switch (eliminate the diodes in the schematic I drew) then both lamps would be connected together; so when you operate the normal left / right switch then both sides would flash.
The alternative is to to use a double-pole switch

Incidentally I didn't really state the 'constant' or 'park' powered scenario correctly - it would have to be made at the relay input connection, replacing the Orange/green wire I will correct that in the notes on the schematic.

sorry to be a pain d'ecosse, but what are the diodes I need? Your post said 1N540x, but I couldn't see these on ebay. What is the actual designation I need? ta.

    'x' is any number between 0 & 8
    e.g. 1N5400, 1N5402, 1N5408 etc
The last digit is essentially for the voltage rating but any of this series will work for this application

If you just search ebay for 3A diode you will find plenty of results without having to specify a particular one and most of them will be 1N540x
    e.g here's pack of 10 for £1.45 free shipping - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-Pcs-1...d4768:g:jq0AAOSw~llcVfVG&shqty=1&isGTR=1#shId

If you have a Maplins in your town you can probably get them there, too

When installing the common anodes go towards the switch and the cathodes (the end with the stripe) individually to each signal line

p.s if you are decent with a soldering iron you can probably connect them inside the switch housing
And you might even be able to mount this on the left side of the switch housing

Or even pick up one of those from an early sprint - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/99-01-TR...m=202710042840&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

^ That has built-in dual pole switch and the other functions are essentially the same - you can probably make that work (connector is different)

Superb - thanks so much! And poor old Maplins went bust in the UK about a year ago.
