Speed Triple Colours

Seeing as people are posting lids, here’s my summer lid, anything that’s colder than 15 degrees it’s freezing as the airflow is so good

 

I absolutely love those Colin Edwards reps. I just don't have an Arai shaped head, unfortunately.

I seen the new speed triple in the Aberdeen showroom today in the Matt black and yellow, I have to say I liked it as soon as I seen it. May not be to everyone's taste but I think it looks good

 

Seriously. No I haven’t seen one in person so I shouldn’t be too critical I suppose.

 

Yes, it's nice. I think it might be my next bike. Hopefully they sell enough of them to pick up a used one in a couple of years ha ha

 

I'm beginning to despair with this forum....sounds more like something from a women's fashion magazine!
Who cares what colour the soddin' bike and helmet is..as long as it goes and your nut is protected that's all that matters.
Triumph with be using victoria beckham as a design consultant next!

I think we are accustomed to Triumph being a little more classy when it comes to finishings and paint. It’s always been more of a gentleman’s motorcycle appealing to a more mature market place. So forgive me for not approving of the slight departure that has taken place. I mean no disrespect.

 

Hmmm, now there's a thought. Victoria Beckham as a design consultant might just work! She does have great taste. I don't see this as a binary choice. Bikes can go great and one's noggin can be well protected and at the same time both can be beautifully painted and fashionable. The choice is yours. And mine. And his. And hers.

Seriously though,what is biking coming to"l know people who won't take their two wheeled baby out in the wet incase they get their little coloured allen screws dirty!

 

Do you know that people invented something called the car, they have 4 wheels and they even have heaters, when your hot they have something called "air conditioning" they keep you dry and undirty..... honest!

 

I have to admit I really do want to buy a bike I like the look of (which definitely very much includes the colour choice) but matching helmet? Now that is never something that has bothered me, but each to their own.
I mean, you should check out the rest of my rather boring fashion sense. Blue top, blue jeans every day, that's me!

 

I Suppose it all comes down to what you want from motorcycling, l ride most days come rain or shine, the only time I don't ride is when it is icy.
To me a bike is really just a tool, colour and cosmetic stuff is of no interest.
My triumph is in "baby shit" yellow.....everyone hates it ,even my daughter says it looks like it is cobbled together out of spare parts from the triumph parts bin!

We have a bike night here in Poole and some of the posers who turn up are unbelievable...one shower of rain and they are crapping themselves.

 

To each their own for sure, but I agree with you as would most on this forum, I have to love the look of my bike. Premium parts and a classy look was definitely on the list. If this isn’t important then just go buy a MT 09 or any Japanese bike. Cheaper and It will probably give you less problems and run forever. I think it comes down to the appreciation of quality workmanship and engineering. Nothing against my brothers bikes, my 09 and GSX S1000, but those lack the refinement of the Speed and it’s very evident when riding them. So if you ride just to get from a to b as a means of transportation, then I can understand someone not appreciating fit finish and refinement. It’s all good brothers.

 

Ok, I promise this is the last helmet photos . Sandi, I’m going to go for a ride today and will let you know what I think of the Scorpion. Again, to those whom I’ve offended, this is the last of the helmet porn .

 

I think you are right but to be honest l have no time for bolt on bling and useless accessories that are simply bought from eBay or catalogues, anybody can do that. No skill needed.
However I do appreciate that some people get pleasure from it.
What l do have respect for is a finely engineered special or tastefully restored old bike,this takes skills,ingenuity and determination.
I have restored a few old bikes and spent hours in a cold garage over a hot lathe or mill making parts that simply cannot be bought out of a catalogue.

 

Agreed. Respect on the rebuilds. Any photos for us to drool over?
