I might be stupid here and totally wrong but I thought “reconciliation” was being applied as part of the peace treaty (or was that just RSA)

FFS is it really so difficult to use indicators? And before anyone starts saying it’s BMW drivers (because I’m one :p), you’re wrong. It seems it’s not restricted to just them, it’s every f*@#er in a car, bus, lorry, 4x4....anything!
It would make driving so much simpler if we all could know where everyone else was going and didn’t have to try and develop bloody ESP!

Riding my Tiger Sport on it's final journey in my ownership to Streetbike, Halesowen, where I was due to collect my new Speed Twin. Pissing down with rain, but visibility very good.Straight road with 2 cars in front of me and no one behind. I saw a black car arrive at a junction on my left so I moved a little closer to the centre of the road. The driver made eye contact with me, paused and then pulled out across the front of me. WTF? nobody behind and you still pulled out? First time I've ever felt the ABS pulsing through the front brake lever. Sensible head told me not to chase him down and remove his door mirror, but very tempting. He took the left fork to Stourbridge and I went straight on. BMW X1, J 500 JMB, I will be looking for you next time I use that road..............

Fcuk me, I'm rolling my sleeves up and getting into a lather...

Me and some similarly 'older' gents do a semi-regular thing of a pub stop and curry. We are the softest and most gentlemanly bunch possible. This evening we varied our routine and did a pub stop and a Thai. 1 and a half pints in the pub and two glasses of wine in the restaurant. Good times, jokes and fun. Definitely not drunk.

Then the bill came. As I am the nominated responsible adult, I got the bill and glanced at it and noticed there was an extra two bottles of wine on it that we didn't have. I went up and asked them to remove them and recalculate the bill, then sat down to examine the rest of the items on the invoice - shouting off the items to see who had what. I found another 4 items that were wrong.

I went back to the reception and asked, very politely, for them to remove the wrong items and also the tip (10%). I also asked "please don't try to cheat us again" in a calm, quiet voice. 1 error was a mistake but £60 and 4 items (5 if you count the bottles of wine as two items) is a bit much to pass off as a mistake.

Roll forward 15 mins and some woman walks up to our table with her massive boy friend and tells me off for making the owner of the restaurant cry!

Apparently me complaining about being ripped off to the price of £60 is not on. This couple had been visiting the restaurant for years without problem it must be US that were wrong (printed receipts can be ignored in such circumstances). I was genuinely stunned - what should we have done? Paid up? I tried explaining the facts but she wasn't having it...

Like I say I was totally polite, non-offensive, didn't swear (not even mildly). But was factual and assertive to get the items removed.

Why did this woman get upset and feel it necessary to have a go at ME?!?

I felt sorry for the boy friend as he didn't know what to do....

So when I say, sorry can't tell a word you're saying?
They won't be offended by removing them then?
Helmets off in petrol stations and shops to genuinely buy things, so what's the difference?

I had an appointment yesterday morning about 45 minutes away to get some work done on my Speedy, heavy drizzle all the way there and heavy rain all the way back, needless to say I was soaked and the bike looked like it had been dredged up from the sea bed, sun came out as soon as I got home but at least I could get everything dry and give the Speedy a thorough wash and polish.

@dilligaf it might look like you lost it for £2 ....... But that isn't the reality. Maybe the other person bid way over you and so you would have been out of your happy zone if you'd won ;)

These protesters, activists call them what you will are just a law unto themselves especially the females. Why were they allowed access?

Only insurance companies are granted the right to please themselves : unamused: not individuals.

WTF. If it was me I’d have pinned her down on the floor & waited for security. One has to ask how the hell they got in? How on earth can one justify a member of public office being suspended as a result of thwarting what could have been an armed terrorist attack. Were they invited in? No. Cross that line , you face the consequences young lady.
