Today got mini service , engine oil and filter and air filter cleaning , new chain fitted , it was like spaghetti so the technician said , it could fold in all four directions at once ! When I told him I had been "towing" he asked how .. it would have been like a liquorice elastic band, snatch and release :) . It was fine a week ago honestly. Tyre has plenty of tred but still a gamble on how long it will last
Bike much more manageable and pleasant to ride now :) :)
Went to the Darwin Aviation Museum after the service, awesome plane's on display, B52 F 111 and a Spitfire amongst many.

Yup I agree, white wall tyres really stand out ! It's how I first noticed it..?

Well back in Kathrine on the return leg home. The new chain has made a noticeable difference, bike corner's better and fuel mileage too has improved. Looking at two new tyres soon :) :) there's always something
    :( :( .
Will probably go to the hot springs tomorrow, if we do will post pictures, last saw them 30+ yrs ago, be interested in seeing if there is any changes.

Wow, Katherine hot springs has changed so much.
There was no I say again no man made features anywhere when I was there 30 odd year's ago. Still lovely clear water.
Well another item off the bucket list and off tomorrow morning to timber creek again.

    Cheers Mick Brenda capt

Stopping for a cuppa a couple of weeks ago at our usual watering hole this guy chugged in on his HD. Do you think any of the originals are left of these jeans?

Aaawww ..... bless! Bike cost so much to buy, run and repair that the poor bugger can't afford new/decent jeans.
Either that or he's a scruffy bastard!!
    Could be both I suppose!

Did a sixty-two mile round trip to collect a few items, donated for the charity I support, that were rescued from a recycling tip.
20 crutches, 8 zimmers, 2 wheelchairs, 1 shower stool, 3 walking sticks and a few other odds and ends. loaded 001.JPG

I've noticed Hospitals never want the Zimmers, walking sticks etc back. Can't they just be cleaned up, checked and use again?. Would save the NHS/ SHS thousands a year. I've seen large skip full of these at the back of Hospitals. Maybe it's cheaper to scrap the metal and buy new.

My guess is fear of suing.
Easier to replace with factory checked ( sue the factory) than employ a qualified crutch inspector.

The firm I work for has a department that clears properties for social housing Nationwide, our crews have asked the NHS about wheelchairs and such like numerous times, and they are always told to take them to the tip, as they won't accept the return of used one's , it's such a waste as some of them are barely used.

The difference is that they knocked a wall down and planted a hedge. Did something happen to the bike?
