Just got back from a great week touring north west Scotland; what a great place to ride a motorcycle. Stopped for 3 days near Fort William and explored that area then moved for another 3 days based in Ullapool where we traveled as far north as you can get.

Weather was not perfect but we still had some good days. Thought I would post a few pics of the wife's Street Triple as I have defected. Most of the photos below are near Applecross

Great pics, I want to do that trip one day but guess I'll have to get a more practical bike!

The weather looks a lot better than when I was there.
    How was the Kwakker?

Facebook-20150518-074410.jpg The Kwakker is going well thanks. 3500 trouble free miles so far and its proved to be the perfect touring tool in Scotland. I've certainly no regrets moving from the Tiger 800 XC; the Givi produced but Kawasaki branded luggage is great, got about 30bhp more, road handling is much better, its less top heavy, better MPG, larger fuel tank and most importantly its great fun to ride...... fast if your feeling inclined

Facebook-20150515-061509.jpg It looks all blue skies in the photos but we rode through some rain as well. Loads of European bikers touring up there; just about all riding those very rare BMW 1200 GS's !

If you want empty roads, fantastic scenery and can put up with a bit of damp then for me Scotland N/W is THE place

No midges in May / Early June. Go in August and expect to get mullered by midges.
