Re-map, Exhaust, Re-map? Is there a need!

Hello all,

I have my bike booked in At Hammer and Tongs in Warrington for custom ECU map to my triumph Daytona 600! However, not any time soon but later on in the year I would like to get a new slip on exhaust.

Will I have to go back and remap again, and if I do, would it as big a job as the original custom map?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've put nearly an extra 1,500 miles on clocks since then lol, I've been on it at every chance,

I went to hammer and tongs today, unfortunately the fuel pressure wasn't there, and I had a leak, and some replacement connectors needed to be ordered, so remap was delayed. Saw this as a chance, and bought a fuel F1r exhaust and a K&N air filter, will be getting it mapped in next week after they install and fix the stuff from today.

 

Hammer and tongs know their stuff, remap loads of race bikes and everything and I have heard nothing but good stuff about them, but they do before and after runs and map live on a rolling road.

Should be good, they know what their doing. It was either these guys or hilltop, but hilltop are miles away.

 

Got bike back from H&T, standard the bike produced 90bhp. After re-map, it now make 103bhp. With much, much more mid range power and very good throttle control.

The map as standard was extremely lean, and caused the engine to race when in low rpms.

I'm so pleased with results.
