Well we took the plunge and we are now the proud Landlords of a 300-year-old drovers inn called the Hollybush in the tiny hamlet of Greenhaugh near Kielder in Northumberland https://www.hollybushinn.net/ As many of you will know we are in a great area for biking and would love to see a few more visitors on two wheels where a hell of a warm welcome awaits, have a beer (real ale and cider on tap) or a coffee or tea or even spend the night with us in one of our seven rooms and if you’re a member of the forum or Triumph owners club we’ll sort out a bit of a discount on the room rates Anyway Lynne and I look forward to seeing you and perhaps we’ll swing by on one of the GMU runs as we’re only about 5 miles from Bellingham
Congratulations John, it’s something I’ve always fancied doing running a pub. Good luck with your new venture.
Good stuff John I hope that you and Lynne have a successful time running your pub You didn’t mention Jack Daniels ......discount
It's no easy gig running a (successful) pub, and an even harder one when it offers nice accommodation, so I wish you every happiness and success in your venture. Hopefully we'll see some reports of events, progress and maybe some "tales from behind the bars" as your new life unfolds! Best of luck.
Congratulations - Mrs F and I stayed there a couple of years ago, on the Bonneville, and it was great - brilliant location, great food and there was a singalong on the Friday night. We were just saying we should go up again - we will now! Best wishes to you and your new adventure!
JD on the shopping list had a very busy first weekend then a mental one last Saturday hosting the darts league finals Thanks for your words of encouragement guys it’s going really well if a bit overwhelming at times Can’t wait to see a load of bikes parked up outside
Nice one. Look forward to enjoying your hostelry at some point in the near future. Nice wee run over from mine
