Hey big lad, whats the mode of transport then? Bike or car?
Theres a new place open these days and up and coming in Holmfirth if you get chance. Its called the Oil can cafe or also known as the carding shed thecardingshed.co.uk . Its a MASSIVE place with lots of automobillia and a classic car museum all in one. There are classic car meets and bike group gatherings with car shows like at Harewood House. Inside the place is a busy cafe thats a little posh with lots of girls running around in period aprons. Its worth a look and the afternoon tea is wonderful dear chap. In time to come it'll be the new squires as more people from outside the area have heard about it. There was even a guy come all the way from Northampton on a KH 250 to meet up with the two stroke forum guys there!!

Hi Eric, there wouldn't be much point in posting on here if I was coming by car:rolleyes:. No, it'll be by Bonny. :):p:D

After brekky my plan is to move down to Bishops Waltham and a get-together of the Idiot Collective - a group of like minded bikers, plus a general bike meeting. You would be made very welcome there if the two of you wanted to come along?

If yer get to Leeds yer gotta do the infamous Squires Cafe, opened late 50's originally, before moving to new site. Famous for it's pasties. I first went there on my 65 Bonnie 1966ish and still going. If yer likely to get there or anywhere in Dales post on here. This weekend saw the annual Rockers Re-union at Squires, Tritons etc etc inc some riders I met at last years Ace 50th Reunion bash and run down to Brighton. Run out was to Scarborough where 50/60's music boomed out from the Spa. Take care , keep the rubber side down, smile and have a great trip.

Hi RR, I WILL be going to Leeds, so where is this Squires Cafe. Like the sound of a pastie.

I like the sound of all those classic bikes bombing round the Dales.

Easy peasy ... A63 Selby Road out of Leeds, through Garforth to (2nd) roundabout, at junction with Micklefield road (to left). Turn right (only other option!) onto dual carriageway towards Selby and A1. Exit at 1st slip road (after hotel) round to 'T' junction (fairly tight left hander:eek:). Turn right towards Sherburn and Squires comes up about a mile on your right, just before the railway bridge (100yds ish).
See you there - if you're daft enough to tell us all when you'll be there!!:D:p

My timetable for the UK trip is as follows :

Arrive Newhaven the morning of the Sunday 17th May and go straight to a bike get together at the Bishops Finger -sorry- Waltham, near Southampton.

Then onto my sisters new place near Yeovil for a couple of days, so leave there 19th and on to Worcester, then Kidderminster seeing various pals.

That takes me to the 21st or 22nd then 2 nights in Leeds, then on the 24th head south to Northampton for the evening/night.

On the 25th head down to the Ace Café, North Circular, for a proper biker cuppa, before going down to Newhaven and the ferry home.

Cheers and see you all soon

That means roughly 23/24 Mayish. There's a Triumph open day 23rd at York Triumph dealer A1 Moto 20 miles from Leeds with Squires half way between. Open day is for riders bikes but obviously new bikes on sale as usual, coffee is good and free when I have been. Just a thought yer maybe need a rest rather than filling yer days up, just thought I'd mention it.
