Hi all Taken the plunge at last. Picking up a white 2018 demonstrator with 350 miles this weekend. Very excited. Having 2019 suede type seat fitted with white logo on back plus sump guard and flyscreen already fitted. I might go for a headlight grille mesh later, but I really want to fit bar end mirrors and branded ones are pricey! One thread mentioned Oxford bar end ones that seem ok but not the best looking clamps. Anyone have experience of decent looking bar end mirrors / chinese ones etc? I think I need ones that don't fit hollow bars (ie need ones with screw in fitting) and might need extra bar end finishers? Here's hoping someone might point me to a decent ebay pair.. Looking forward to many new threads! Cheers Andy .
I got Oberon ones for my BMW and I’m very impressed with the build quality and they do fitment for threaded bars. I went for them really because they’re a bit different from the usual round or oval ones, plus they were much cheaper than the Rizoma ones that are popular.
Hello and welcome. Have you tried these guys, there stuff is really good quality and well priced. Is the bike from Bridges or Total Triumph? https://shop.tecbikeparts.com/t/watercooled-mirrors
Welcome aboard Andy, hope you enjoy the forum and have fun on your new steed, pic's please once you have it
Thanks all - and JPB for the tec bike parts link. Unfortunately the mirrors I like on that website are out of stock (typical!) so I'll check again in a day or so. Seems like I can use their bar ends in their kit and cut down to fit rather than buy the slim bar ends from Triumph. Yes I am getting the bike from Bridge but did go to Total Triumph also who were brilliant offering me a test ride (actually 3 rides to include both son and daughter). Getting back into it after some years in the biking desert. Last bike was anniversary 883 sportster (agricultural), preceded by T509 Speed Triple (superb), Harley Superglide Sport 1450 blacked out (awesome), and a selection of earlier ones like Laverda RGA 1000, GS1000, Z1B 900 (my one and only show winner), GPZ1100 b2, 2 x Z650, Kettle, XJ650, GS550 lots of trail bikes like SP370, DT175 etc, even a 68 Triumph Trophy 250 (with the BSA B25 engine) which was ancient even at the time! ahh happy days....and more to come now. I've wanted a newer Triumph for years now and also maybe in the future a late 70's US spec Bonneville as well - one step at a time though...Thanks again for the warm welcome and info.
Pics! Got the bike yesterday and well pleased. Great sound and ride. More pics when I can (and as mods done). It's a beautiful bike - with stripped back purity...Bridge were very good too.
Hi, nice bike, just ordered a bench seat and headlight bezel/grill for my white 16/18 Street Twin! Have been toying with bar end mirrors, more for practicality than looks, I have to shift around a bit to see back through the standard ones!
