My Beloved is making me watch ' Guitar Heroes'.
As an ex professional guitarist I can only cringe and reach for either a shotgun or some hemlock

Was a few pints of Newky Brown earlier on, but now onto a rather nice Bordeaux.

 

Now I'm not a lover of whisky products after a particular bad night at 18..... but this stuff is great.

In the North East, Newcastle Brown Ale is often given the nickname "Dog", alluding to the British euphemism of seeing a man about a dog. It is also known as Broon, "brown" pronounced in the Geordie dialect. Elsewhere in the UK, it is known as NewkieBrown.

Was hoping for the cats we saw last year to make an appearance but instead we got this

Sadly it's not a happy story cos it's got a broken wing and can't fly.
According to the home owner there isn't anything like the RSPB so it's on its own.

 

Just had two pints of Newkie Brown on draught at the local bar, now back home with a platter of cheeses, some pains grillés, saucisse d'ail and a bottle of La Farade - Cote de Roussillon.

 

Kiwi version of Newkie is Lion Red. Normally drink it in recycle quart bottles, but away fishing so stubbies will do

 

I’m giving this a go this evening, so far so good

 

Few pints of Smithwick’s premium Irish beer, nice....

 

Just right now I'm in the bar drinking draught Newkie Brun. Who knows what might happen later ????
