The Corbin is lower, but it's wider as well.
I would say he's better off with the std seat height wise (p.s. My other half used to use an early 600 Bandit seat as some were lower than others, no idea why....)
Also, just in case he was interested, the Ohlins raises the ride height as well, due to not being as soggy as the std shock.

    Did you sell the shock?
Was wondering if it would fit the Bandit 600 Mk2 Race bike, as the Gixxer 1000 one I have in is max adjustment & still too soft, but as this one is off the heavier 1200 it may well be the answer?

    Still got the shock.
No idea if it'll fit a mk2 600 but I believe the mk1 600 and 1200 shocks were interchangeable so it might.

    OK.
I'm still on a couple of Bandit groups on facebook, I'll ask there as well.

Initial checks indicate they're not interchangeable due to length unfortunately
    306mm mk1 1200 mk2 600 319mm"

I have someone tell me that they were different lengths from a different source late last night. It’s a shame because Ohlins would have given me way more scope to get a race setting. But it’s not the end of the world I have the Gixxer shock working well enough to not be chewing the tyres up now. Thanks for checking mate.

No worries, if nothing else, it's reminded me I still have it and should really try flogging it again :D

If you are on face book, try the below, Formula Prostocks racers use this site to source all sorts of bits, there may be a Mk1 rider in the market for an Ohlins? As well as the other bits you have?

There is nothing endearing in that :poop:.

Well as the cap does seem to fit, although not quite as well as Buffoon, I will allow you to be named Dolt tomorrow, for today you remain a BUFFOON & a TWOT!

    Dictionary

    dolt
    /dəʊlt/
