working on my 94 trophy I recently got noticed that when she is on centre stand the back wheel is still on the ground. Is that normal?

No!! My Trident did that and I got it changed under warranty. That was 1996 though, so you've got no chance!!
Have a look at the World of Triumph website - the 'Parts' section. They may still be available.

It's not anything to do with the rear shock absorber is it? The only reason I say that is, I used to have a centre stand on my bonnie but when I put on my after-market (longer) shocks the rear wheel did not lift clear of the ground when on the centre stand.

Has the rear shock been changed at any time, or does it look worn out? Can't remember on your bike is it a mono or a pair of shocks? Can you measure the distance between the mounting centres and compare with others?

The bike has original triumph mono shock, I'll have to measure it and check on world of triumph . Cheers for the advice, let you know what I find.

Took trophy for a short ride, which is the first time I have ridden it as bought it as non runner. Parked it back in garage, went for a cup of tea came back to find puddle of oil. Rear shock blown

That MIGHT account for the low hanging rear wheel ??

    It could be a clue!!
I have a Hagon rear shock on my Trident if that is any help!
Not sure if a new shock will cure the low hanging rear wheel though. My stand had actually bent out of shape - and not by very much. Mechanic at the dealer's warned me not to sit on the bike to push it off the main stand. Especially with full luggage on and me being somewhat unsmall!! (Whatever could he mean??:D:p)

I have almost got the shock off apart from spindle bolt refuses to come out. Will check stand when replacement shock fitted.

Removed shock from trophy, it measured 325mm eye to eye. Rang world of triumph only had 1200 trophy shock. Rang triumph direct got told 1200 shock different length but gave me correct part no. Rang world of triumph got price £752.00 :( found new old stock on eBay £125.00. Was here next day from Isle of Wight . Now fitted and back wheel just touches the floor but can rotate it, Brill
    Thanks for all the advice.

£752.00? Those Boys really are having a laugh. I looked at their site for Coils, then looked away again/

    Well done anyway!

Any suggestions for suppliers who'll leave me a shirt to my back Steve? I need (as above) three new coils, some ht leads (which Dave may have sorted the problem of) and I thought I replace the ignition crank sensor before that breaks too.

Sprint Manufacturing www.triumphparts.gbr.cc is a good source of bits and pieces as is www.squaredeals-ltd.co.uk plus www.triumph-ant.co.uk for used bits. :)
