Looking for advice.. I have a new model Tiger Sport with Arrow system and Triumph Map applied. Whilst the bike is good it would be nice if it could be tuned to give extra power/torque I have looked about but it sounds like the ECU is locked down Anyone out there got any advice on what if anything they have done or could be done in this space?
Hi, Pat, I would think your best bet would be a custom remap like what Hilltop do, search the forum and you’ll be able to see some graphs showing what can be achieved but basically the improvements are very usable as they are mainly bottom end and midrange, where we mainly ride most of the time on the roads. Admittedly they are for speed triple but the motor is the same so the results should be the same.
Nice one Yorkshireman! found their website and have dropped them a contact request over. what kind of improvements have they made on Speed Triple?
The main improvement is a much smoother transition from closed throttle and a much crisper response low to midrange. It’s not massive at the top end but it’s much more rideable in the area we use everyday. Have a look at other posts naming Hilltop, the graphs tell all
I had amazing results on my 2015 675R Daytona with a Power Commander V with o2 sensor blank it made more torque and power to a peak of 125.3 at the wheel on MSS Kawasaki’s dyno with a gain of 6 hp peak and a tourque gain from Two thousand revs less than before. I also tried the Power Commander Autotune but all I’d did was lose power everywhere.
Thanks for reply Glyn - I looked at Power Commander but they dont seem to have a version for 2016 tiger sport. Phoned HillTop and I think I am going to try those guys
Will let you know how I get on Littleade. probably a question for hilltop but if the map changes compromises for emission tests, does this mean it will be harder to pass emission tests post tuning when it comes to MOT? my lack of understanding in this space
so popped along to Hilltop last week, real good guys down there; did the initial dyno run and conclusion was above 6K nothing wrong with how the bike was running, below 6k the power curve was sub optimal. Hilltop did their stuff and it has made a massive difference to the bottom end in terms of real world feel and 'grunt', you dont realise what good feels like until after you have had the tuning done - thanks all for steer!
