New to the forum, but owned a few Triumphs before.
Being a bit long in the tooth I decided that my time with sports bikes and sport tourers was drawing to a natural conclusion and started looking for a new home for the K1300S.
But what to get instead ?
Brand loyalty is endemic to BMW, but, bugger that, I couldn't wait to sample a bigger version of the brilliant triple grunt i remember from my T595 and 955i.
So, I found a nice, sitty uppy, Tiger 1200 Explorer xrt, in red, 2017, 17000 miles.
Well pleased, can't wait till Wednesday.
And now begins the long quest to find stuff out - best road tyres, best suspension settings, best oils, things to watch for, etc etc etc.
Thanks for the welcome, nice to (virtually) be here.

Good choice, best thing about Triumph vs BMW is that not much seems to go wrong with Triumphs, browse any BMW forum and 50% of the topics are about faults.

My BMW has been faultless which is more than can be said about my Triumph :(
Saying that though, the Beemer is only 2 years old and the Triumph 18

Welcome to the family. Nice bike you have chosen. And nothing wrong with the BMW's either. Its all down to ownership.
    Ride Safe & Enjoy.
