Anyone see the first episode of Henry Cole's new series last night? Rode a CCM Spitfire from Aberystwyth to the Devils Bridge and then on to Rhayader - a place familiar to us on last years GMU! He then went on to the Claerwen Reservoir, past Gareg-duu-reservoir, the one we visited.
I have been watching his other bike trips but yet to watch the latest. Was hoping to go to Aberystwyth this Monday but looks like I will have to delay it for next bank hol monday.
I’ve watched the motorbike show for quite a few series now, including his specials. I must say they’re not bad to watch, although Henry Cole is a bit of a dick sometimes. I’ve got the new series on TiVo series link so will be watching; it’ll be nice to see some familiar places he’s been if he’s done Devils Bridge and around.
He can be a bit of a tw*t at times but no one else seems interested in making shows about bikes and he's a good ambassador for biking.
I loved that gold star. Another dream walking into a shed or barn and finding something similar. Ride Safe Joe.
Last bank holiday weekend Aber was packed with bikes, I noticed a Suzuki RE5 parked up amongst them, no camera to hand unfortunately.
Watched it yesterday, although HC is a bit smug and irritating it’s still the best motorcycle show on Telly.
It is irritating, especially when he was educated at Eton. It’s as if thinks it all needs to be dumbed down a bit, and he needs to speak in pseudo estuary to appeal to bikers. Actually makes him sound like a bit of a twat.
Sure we've been here before, think we decided last time that he's a bit of a knob, but at least bikes on telly
Just watched it on catchup on the itv hub. He is a bit of a cock but a watchable prog for us who like bikes
I’ve just watched the first of the new series. A little disappointed as I saw that it was from Devils bridge, but it turned out to be some backwater one in Wales, not the far superior one in sunny Cumbria!
I find the motorbike show format* a little annoying, and Henry can be irritating at times (my wife thinks I'm both annoying and irritating, so I can't really criticise), but it's a very comforting program to watch. Thanks for letting us know it's on. *telling us what's going to be on the show, doing the piece, then telling us what we've seen, in short attention span bursts.
