Well after a long wait my Speed Twin arrived today.
IMG_1659.JPG The sound from the V&H pipes is awesome both under load and on the overrun.
IMG_1655.JPG and I fitted the screen that @andyc1 sold me, just sets off the front end..

Really enjoyed the ride home and can't wait for tomorrow to get in a good long ride. It is booked in for its first service on 30th May, so plenty of time to get the required 500 miles .....
    A very happy Wessa

PS: I have taken the stickers off the bike....

Great looking machine. Still got that big grin on you face I bet. But don't worry as Triumph and nursey are working on a fix for it.

Nope I had to pick the wife up early this evening, and then I spent time in the garage fitting the screen and polishing the bike.

First proper ride out today. filled up and ran for 120 miles today. There is 51 miles showing on the trip, which is looking like circa 150 miles between fills. I might be a little less once it is run in, although I was riding around 65 to 70 (reving at circa 3600 to 4000 rpm) during large parts of my ride.. Total on the clock is now 150 miles, so only 350 to first service when I get back from holiday.

Here are a few pictures from my ride... I went over to the Ponderosa cafe at the top of the Horseshoe Pass via Chester, from there onto Shrewsbury, Ellesmere (A495 one of my favorite roads) to Whitchurch and up the A49 to J&S Motorcycle superstore in Delamere to home.

Looks nice. Like the look of the seat. Quite fancy that one myself, is it comfy?

Booked mine in for the first service but only 250 to do.

    Enjoy.
