Pic 1 that’s why you crashed, you’re looking at the tank. You need to look where you’re going I’ve been there mate, horrible feeling but it does get better when you the the egg cup sized trophy that means the world
Hope you don't mind me asking, but, in all - bar one - of those pictures your rear tyre looks distinctly low on pressure. Is that deliberate; an optical delusion or a result of the timing of the photo's ... or summat? In that last picture it looks like there's some deflection of the side wall of the rear tyre - obviously under load from accelerating out of a corner. Just looks a bit low to my inexperienced eye?
I thought there'd be a rational explanation, and assumed it would be around tyre temperatures. What really intrigued me was that, even where you're under hard braking with the forks almost fully compressed (pic. 4), there's very little noticeable deflection on the front tyre. All interesting stuff - hope you don't think I was trying to impugn your ability to set the bike up properly!! Hope Easter provides a good chance of rest and recovery! Cheers BB.
Helps to increase the “footprint” of the tyre, you don’t always see it cos the bikes are going so fast but a pic like this shows it perfectly
Tyre pressure especially with the Pirellis needs to be adhered too. Once we started using them the cold pressure was much lower than expected. To the point they almost looked flat on the outlap. Check what Pirelli recommend and talk to everyone else running them. The cold pressure changes big time between manufacturers.
