Bike Rejection

Sorry to hear about your troubles with your bike. When you buy something new you expect it to be top dollar and working. I hope you get it sorted....

Have you considered a hard break in for the bike instead. Much quicker and imho better for your bike.

 

I’m jealous of your upcoming trip to Spain. It’s definitely on my bucket list of things to do. I’ve been watching people like The Missenden Flyer, Lamb Chops Rides, Two Wheels and a Ponytail and others riding in Southern Spain with Toro Adventure. Looks epic.

 

Teapotone vlogged a five day adventure to Morocco with Toro Adventure. Awesome.

 

Privately I’m convinced it didn’t happen but I can’t prove it. Won’t be back there.

Well hope it does sort it for you. You never know with these things. And glad Triumph stepped up a little. Here's hoping you get the smile back on your face and have a great trip. Send us all a couple of pic's and let us know how the Bike is behaving. Also running in these day's is just a mater of after the 500 miles is keeping the revs down. Most modern engines are partially run in before they get fitted to the bikes.

Sure glad you are going to get sorted. And yes do hope the new Steed turns out to be sweet. Should never got this far to start with. And no wonder your confidence is dented. You buy a new bike you expect a new bike not one with a replacement crank or any other bits for that mater. I just hope your trip helps you put this all behind you.

Really glad to hear this Andy.

When the dealer sorts a problem out quickly, efficiently, and keeps you informed, these things don't get a chance to escalate. Of course it's disappointing when it happens, but decent customer service is the key to recovering the situation.

Mine was one of the very first 2018 models on the road (a couple of days after they were delivered to dealers). I've only had minor troubles (baggy oil cap O ring, binding clutch lever, failed brake lever modulation wheel) and possibly the next thing will be a sticking joy stick, as it sometimes needs help to return to neutral.

Small fry I know, but these issues were sorted instantly by Jack Lilley (aka Lind, aka Triumph East London) - and I'll report the joy stick before its full service next month...and I know they will order and fit the part without question.

The RS is a tremendous bike and I wish you well with the new one - what a great result for you
