Now that does look really good Andy - but wait, I'm confused...you haven't fitted it yet...so that's not your bike?

The S1 would have been my choice from SC Project - very well balanced and suits the bike so well...like it's supposed to look like that.

David (Moor) commented that the Speed Triple without the underseat cans, reminds him of a "muscular guy with skinny lower body", which is close to how I've always seen it:

 

The 'Reset Adaption' gets 'diluted' across the many posts about it on the internet, but to the very best of my knowledge...it goes like this:

Reset adaption:
From cold, start without touching the throttle or any controls.
Run for a minimum of 12 minutes after the fan comes on, and the ECU will adapt to the engine.​

It may not help with Mogwai's problem...but it won't do any harm

 

Possibly not if you have a specific Triumph map for your configuration...but from what I understand, the first thing that happens after having it done, is wishing you'd done it earlier. We'll see!

We booked two hour slots between 10:00 and 12:00 for my RS and my son's MT-10 and will travel cross-country, which should take about 3½ hours...plus ½ hour for fuel and hopefully breakfast...so leaving at 6:00.

We also need to head home straight after so won't be able to hang about, even if there is a slot at 12:00 (I think they only take bookings between 9:00 and 13:00).

I thought about seeing if I could get a group together, but logistically, it's pretty difficult.

 

Firstly, all credit due to @Richard Neale who suggested trying this in the first place...I just refined how it is supposed to be performed

My layman's understanding is that your ECU 'learns' by storing the 'adaptation values' read by the various engine sensors to ensure smooth and efficient running. The 'Reset Adaption' (or maybe it's 'Reset Adaptation') returns the values to their default settings and then starts to re-learn, based on what the sensors are reading.

After modifying the baffles on my original Arrow exhaust, I found the idle to be lumpy - and performing the reset smoothed everything out again. I wouldn't expect you to have to do this after changing fuel suppliers...and also believe that after you've run a few more litres of fuel through the system, the ECU will adapt anyway.

What we need to see is a photo of your dog hanging (humanely of course) from your weighing scales, so that we can determine the counter effect on the handling

Your bike looks amazing - and the exhaust matches in so well! Glad to know that your initial noise report was based on baffle being out...because yes, it's expectedly noisy like that (but exciting all the same).

One tip that I picked up for all AR owners - if you take the baffle out, re-fit the retaining screw. I understand that expansion and contraction can cause the hole and the internal thread to misalign very slightly, which may make it difficult to re-insert the screw at a later date. Maybe it's something that effects earlier designs, but it does no harm to play safe.
