I'm a restorer in Wi. A customer has just dropped off 2 63 Cubs for full restoration. They are in poor condition. One is a street version, and the other would be the off road model. How is parts availability for these units? I'll be needing quite a bit. If you guys know of any good OEM parts or good used parts suppliers, please let me know. Thanks

Welcome to the Family. We would appreciate A picture of the little Steeds. Sadly parts are drying up and those people that have any are hanging on to them. But you will find the odd stash now and again just have to be quick to secure them.
    Regards
    Joe.

BTW. Where are the frame and engine numbers located? I will need to find those first. Thanks

    Welcome to the forum.

You might add TriCorEngland to your list of possible suppliers and the following dating information may be useful ;-

    http://www.tri-corengland.com/acatalog/Triumph_Dating_information.html

The engine number should, I think, be stamped into the left side crankcase just below the cylinder barrel, and the frame number should, I think, be stamped into the left side of the frame near the engine mount.

The Cub wasn't a particularly big seller in the US so you have a good reason to restore them! Best of luck with them both - look forward to seeing the finished product!

The Frame number is usually on the left side around the headstock or downtube. The engine usually below the left side on the crankcase below the Barrels. Wife's are very useful. I be lost without mine to do all these things or Dozers Dad sometimes gives me tuition.

OK I got the numbers. the street version engine number is T20 SP 94076. The off road version engine number is T20 S 59982. The frames are matching. I went looking for the model numbers, but all I'm finding is for Bonneville's etc. Can someone tell me which year and model these are? Thanks.

    The T20 S appears to be 1960

Are you sure the other is T20 SP and not SR? According to this list

    https://www.draganfly.co.uk/model-chart/information/triumph-model-chart

there isn't a T20 SP. If it's SR then it could be a '63 Scrambler Road.

There's a separate CUb section on Draganfly's web site with what look like repro's from the factory parts manual - should be very useful to you for the rebuilds.

Boy you got a couple of little crackers there. Yes a lot of work but worth every bit of love you bestow them. I see both your frame numbers are visible there. Can't see the engine. You need to get DarkMan on the case he will tell you were to find those and could probably tell you more about them. Good luck.
    Regards
    Joe.
