Not 100% sure , all I know is they are not the standard ones. Are they MOT friendly? dw58b6e9a8-9a1a08922.jpg

They look the same as mine which were on when I bought the bike so I don't know where they came from either I'm afraid. No problem getting an mot though. Yes I know they are a bit loud but I think at the most you would only get an advisory.

Welcome to the forum and the section.:D

They do look a bit like the standard pipes, or they could be the long TOR's (Triumph Off Road). If they make any noise they are the long TOR's, because std pipes make it sound like a sewing machine !!!!:( Take a picture down the slash cut end, may be of more help identifying.

Look underneath and you should find a part number, A9600241 and A9600242. I found these numbers, but not 100% sure this is correct, as I have the short TOR's on mine. If you find the A No. just google that and you'll find which they are.

As for MOT friendly, never had any trouble with the TOR's on, not that loud compared with what I have taken for an MOT, and still passed no trouble.

I have a 66 Plate America LT & a while back i purchased two pairs of genuine Triumph TOR slash pipes (one long pair & one short pair) at a very knock down price. Both pairs of pipes carry the Not For Road Use stickers. A few days ago a mate who owns an 04 plate America offered me a brand new pair of long slash pipes which bear a Triumph sticker saying they comply with US legislation and have the part No 2202545. They look the same as the long TOR slash pipes I purchased except they have baffles in them. I'm tempted to fit these pipes but I don't know if they are suitable.
I'm also a little confused as to whether or not it is necessary to have the ECU re-mapped. Some say its essential so as not to damage the engine, other say it just reduces the over-run popping and is a waste of money (been quoted £80.00 by my local dealer).. Any advice would be most welcome.
