Final update on my oil leak for those that have read my earlier post. Several good rides later and not a drop leaked. Problem sorted, and one boot to the arse owed to the knobs at the dealership.
That looks like a proper sarnie Crispey, is the departure lounge far from Loomies? shall have to take I ride that way I think
Not so much done with my Triumph as bought to ride it.......went and bought one of these Can't use it as off t'Egypt tonight for a weeks diving........hopefully the weather will be good when I get back to try it out
just up the top of the A32 jjust outside Alton on the road to Basingstoke. The food is on the expensive side but its good food not road kill
First trip out today on the bike this year. Just pottering about to 'get my eye in' as it were. Motul 5100 10w40 oil seems to have made the gear changing much better than it was with the Shell Ultra fully synth that it replaced. Won't be going there again. The bike ran beautifully. New oil, new chain and brakes serviced so I suppose it should do. Well .... it is a Trident after all!! Ended up looking at the new Royal Enfield twins at Eddy's Moto in Tadcaster. Nice looking bikes. I could be temped if got the chance. A test ride may have to be had, eventually! The sales lad was most impressed by the original number plate on my bike which was also an Eddy's bike from all those years ago and still carries the name. He took a picture to send across to Eddy himself in Shipley! Mad bugger!
My riding buddy is picking up a new Orange Crush, like the one in the middle, on the 1st April. I don’t know why he’s got plenty of bikes.
My first proper ride of the season this morning, dry but still a bit nippy. However great to be out and blow the cobwebs off. Went to Turweston Aerodrome which has a great cafe in the control tower.
Got the Sprint out, put a Top box rack, pannier rails and an actual top box POS on! Turned into a bit of a faff. Put it all on having taken the rear fairing off to make the job easier only to find couldn't put the fairing back on! Off it all came again, refitted. To anyone thinking of Givi pannier racks please note they only fit bolted to a givi top box rack. Then had to relocate the indicators to the new pannier rack which revealed the indicator wiring was somewhat butchered with extra earths soldered in and pig tails soldered on. Rather than disrupt that bit i left it all there i suspect the extra wiring is for the scottoiler. In all took about 5 hours!
Me and NUDGER met my mate Mark from work and he’s got this lovely Rocket lll He’s promised me a go of it for ages now but today he came up good and let me loose on it Will do a little write up somewhere in the Rocket section
I love my 675 but because they’re so frenetic they make you ride like a teenager. It reminds me of a modern day RD350 LC. My friend who has a 1250 GSA had a go on mine today and couldn’t believe how quick and light it was, he reckons that if he had one he’d lose his licence within a week. The biggest challenge with a ST is trying to ride it sensibly!
Today I stepped out of the family... the Legend went on Wednesday, the yellow peril arrives next Wednesday... pictures to follow on arrival! Hope you won’t mind me still skulking about in the corners of the forum! Oh... think tuning forks and parallel twins!
The mirrors work great mate and I think they suit the bike I meant to take some better pictures of the stripes (NUDGERS lipstick ) and the mirrors but never got round to it
