Checked the coolant level on my bike after a long weekend ride out and its right on the low mark on the bottle. No problem I thought just top it up but have looked and can not see how to fill it up without lifting the tank. Am I missing something or is that what you have to do?

Don't know.... But in the manual it does say...

Always chek the level with the engine cold.......

To access expansion tank, raise and support the fuel tank... Remove the cap from the expansion tank...etc etc... You know the rest..

Perhaps I should have looked at the manual  But From what I could see there was no alternative, crap design though, you can get at the coolant on the Street Trip just by lifting the seat

Yes Jim but it says you top it up via the expansion tank, and you can not use water! So trip to Pidcocks for some HD4X Hybrid OAT coolant :frown: Will see if they will do it for me FOC .......

Called in at Pidcocks Triumph and they said they do not fill the tank past the low mark from new as when they get hot it pushes the excess fluid out the overflow which exits near the back tyre:eek:
As a double check I looked at their demo Speed Triple and it looked slightly below the low mark so I guess he is not B/Sing me

Try use distilled water normally rather than tap water...
Or just throw in some antifreeze...

It isn't that obvious, go to the chain drive side of the bike, locate the cover of the the front drive sprocket of the chain, look up about 50mm and you will see a black plastic cover. Behind this cover is the bottle, you can see it looking from the front of the bike looking back.
