Collected my TB Commander from Destination Triumph Washington.

Paperwork took 90 minutes! Who'dathunk there were so many forms to complete.....

Had a stinking cold as well so didn't really appreciate the ride back as I could barely see due to my eyes streaming.

I hope the weather and my cold improves over the weekend so I can get a decent ride.

FB, I do have a bit of a soft spot for the commander as they are stunning looking bikes :D

Phase 2 of Project ''Sort the Daytona 1000 out'' is now under way. Carburettors and the radiator has been taken off of the bike and I will be taking the carbs to work to do a full check and clean and I also have a Daytona 1200 radiator on order to try and sort out some of the heat issues with the bike (as these had a larger core).

I have also brought a new rear shock for the bike for £75 (on the discount heritage parts scheme) and may also be ordering a set of rear silencers for it as well and then I better stop as the wife will kill me if she finds out

Decided today to have a trip to Penzance. Set off early this morning on the Trophy. Had a very nice ride and arrived at the B&B just after 6pm. I've just had a lovely meal and I'm looking to a very restful evening.
Tomorrow I'm going to ride up the west coast of Cornwall and then onto Bristol.

Found a good B&B just outside Bristol. Had an excellent ride up from Penzance, nice roads and reasonable weather. Got to the B&B earlier than expected so I'm going to have a ride into Bristol before my evening meal.
Crispey I've been out on the bike every day but only doing local runs, nothing really interesting. The misses has been a little poorly as well so I didn't want to venture to far afield. She's stopping at her sisters for the week which gives me a chance to do the West Country and South Wales.
Tomorrow I'm heading to Haverfordwest. I've not been there in over thirty years so looking forward to the run.

As the Tiger 800 XC is sold and I've not got the new machine I took the opportunity to cram myself onto the wife's Street Triple (she was taking my lad back to uni) and go for a fast blast :) Got as far as Market Bosworth Leicestershire when I was pulled over at a police roadblock. Helicopters were overhead, police everywhere then a funeral procession crossed the road in front. Turns out it was King Richard the Third heading for re-burial. Wonder if he would have wanted to be taken back to Boworth Field where he met his grizy end 500 years ago?
20 min delay later and I'm back on my way

Put my Thruxton in for service and was given a ThunderBird LT as a Loaner, Blimey what a nice bike, if that's your thing or even if it's not, Once I stopped myself from trying to put my feet on the rear foot pads and put a knee out on the corners, it was a most pleasant ride, so comfy, it wafts round corners, (is that the Royal Philharmonic playing waltzs in the background??) as if on rails and when you want to go it does. Half expected the butler to appear with a tray of tea when I stopped at lights.

so I fancied an Ice cream and went to the seaside ,Stokes Bay, of course. That's not another cruiser in the background its the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt.( oops by another cruiser I mean the bike and boat not me!!)

Daytona work progressing, carbs have been stripped and cleaned (pilot jets were partially blocked as well as the little filters on the inlet pipes). I have put the forks back to their correct height (they were only 28mm out).
Just waiting for the 1200 radiator to turn up and then I'll but it back together and then balance the carbs at work and we will be good to go for the summer :D
Silencers also on order, was going to put them straight on the bike but the originals are still in fairly good condition so they will go up in the loft with the rear shock for the moment.

Haven't really needed to touch the Sprint Sports at the moment.

Also got a mention in last months Practical Sportsbike Magazine.

    Roll on summer ;)
