    Hi All,

Today discovered that somebody remove a bolt from my clutch cover of my Street twin 2017. Please see the attached pictures.

Is it safe to start the bike? Can't see any liquid coming out of that place. Can't understand why someone would take away a part like this from a bike.

    Thank you,
    Andrei

I suspect it would spew oil. The plug is an M12x1.75 which is a common car sump plug size. You should be able to get one pending replacement of the Triumph part.

(1.75 is the thread pitch I.e. 12mm metric coarse thread)

I’m not 100% sure  but I’m sure I seen something somewhere saying that this plug was purely cosmetic and didn’t serve any purpose
Something to do with trying to look like the original Triumphs:confused:
    Like I said I’m not 100% sure :(

Hi Guys, Thank you for the replies all :) As @John Scotcher replied maybe that piece of plastic separated while riding and didn't notice. I'll go for a replacement M12x1.75 also maybe paint it in black :) and see if does the job.

311E53F3-9B88-499A-8153-B939F9D32FDB.jpeg I can confirm from looking at my chrome casing tha I haven’t installed yet the bolt does have an ‘O’ ring and although there’s a metal brace separating it from the clutch the gasket doesn’t seal it from another part

Well as long as we are sure or unsure. Should be all right. Just order a new one if you are unsure or are you sure. This is making me dizzy.

Does anyone know where you can order the OEM bolt online or at least a part number for it?

Try looking on fowlersparts.co.uk website or World of Triumph.
There is a parts breakdown for your bike there but tbh I would see if you can get a bolt to fit from a fixings company, will be much cheaper.
