Have had a rocket 3 roadster in the past but got this to fix up a couple of years ago, its not that fast but great for touring and week end cups of tea over the moors. Have 5 bikes and need to thin them down now but I dont think this will go for a while.
Welcome buddy Thx for the pics. Nice bike. You will certainly appreciate those bikes when some serious distance comes into play
Hi, yes it is very comfy, I went round the cairngorms last year and never got a sore ass once and the leg room is good for 6,2" Thanks.
my other bikes, dont have one of my zzr to hand but its just a zzr anyway we all know what they look like.
Thanks bud, they all started out as rat bags, the vf now has single seat and awaiting cbr wheel conversion when I get the time. I get so much more out of old bikes than buying new stuff as I feel I have a bond with them given I have spilt much blood and sweat fixing them up. lol
Good on you mate. Unfortunately I don't have the skills to complete work myself, so have to go with new bikes and dealers servicing and repairs when required.
I find that riding an old bike is so engaging and enjoyable. New bikes, just through your leg over, press the starter and off you go,,,not very engaging at all.
Not my experience Tiglet. Riding a new bike is just as engaging as an old one and if you don't have the skills to maintain an old bike it is not really an option for many riders. In addition, new bikes do tend to be more reliable than old ones. It comes down to personal choice, you pays your money etc.......... Wessa
I suppose if you’ve not ridden many classics it wouldn’t seem engaging With regards to reliability one day last week I rode 148miles on a rideout and the old girl never missed a beat
Intruder Welcome to the Family. Those bikes do it for me absolutely love them. Ride Safe & Enjoy Joe.
My point was not that riding a classic is not engaging, clearly it is; but IMHO so is riding a new bike as engaging. I also agree that well maintained classic can be reliable, again I was just attempting put the point across that new bikes tend to fail less frequently. Wessa
