Scrambler 2016 Vs 2017

Hi, I had a 2015 865 Bonneville and changed it for a Street Scrambler last year. Engine wise I’d suggest the 900 liquid cooled is better than the old air cooled, particularly when hot in traffic as the 865 seemed to get just slightly uneven when too hot whereas the 900 is smooth and responsive regardless. I get better fuel economy and a lot more power where you need it from the Street Scrambler even though the the bhp suggests it shouldn’t, and overall the Street Scrambler is a lot more modern and up to date motorcycle. If they both feel right when you sit on and hopefully ride them then the 900 will I think be a better buy for winding your way through the hot California commuter traffic... if the older air cooled Scrambler feels better then get that as they are both good bikes... have fun whichever Triumph you get.

 

I'm about 6ft tall and the 2017 street scrambler is very comfortable, it also has a number of updates on the older one including new engine and chassis, it has fun lively handling, lovely torquey motor and I think looks better than the older one, so I'd go for the street scrambler.
