Hi, I bought the bike in Dec 13. Spent £1500 on getting her sorted. No DAR or Sprag issues. 40k miles and generally in good nick. Need to get her serviced by somebody that knows these bikes inside out. Triumphant are on my list, but wondering if there is anyone closer to me.
Hi Kevin and welcome to the forum, sorry can't help with anyone local to you for servicing but I am sure someone will.
Kevin Fancett. Welcome to the Family. You do know we here in the asylum need pictures of the Steeds to calm us down for Nursey. Regards Joe.
Hi Kevin. Two names for you to consider for servicing the Steamer :- 1. If Clive is still at Treen's in Crediton, give them a call and ask for him personally to do the service. He's a great bloke and was the Service Manager at Bridge until it lost all sense of customer service and became a money making machine! I'm pretty sure he had all the factory training on T3s and he won't be looking to stiff you for stuff he hasn't done or fitted. Tell him I recommended him. 2. If Clive's not there or not available - or it's too far - how about Paul BROOM at Brumer's bikes on the outskirts of WELLINGTON, Somerset? Paul is also fully qualified on a range of Triumphs having served for many years at TOTAL Triumph, Taunton. I get the impression he left there for reasons similar to those that caused Clive to leave Bridge. Brumers is, I suppose, rather more 'presentable' than Treenies, though, regardless of outward appearances, I DO like to see a REALLY old fashioned bike shop and Treen's often have more than a few old Brit bikes for sale. I've used both places for service and MOT's and wouldn't hesitate to use either. Let me know if you go to Brumers - I'm only about 7 miles away so we could maybe meet up? Adie
