I've just bought myself a digital torque wrench cos It's getting so hard to read the small numbers on my old one, I need 3 hands, one to just hold the magnifying glass

 

A decent torque wrench is defo an investment. I have 3 Norbars. I think they run between 2Nm to 300Nm.

Good job you said DD, I think @Ron Ashurst already had his pants round his ankles & camera phone in hand, you may have saved me a trip to the eye hospital after using bleach in them again!

 

Just make sure you operate the mechanism on a lowish setting before use after its been unused for a while ( minimum will do ) to make sure the internal mechanism surfaces are lubricated, this will ensure more repeatable operation.

Then set it to the required setting and work away.
