Any chance of a pic of them on? Do they just attach under the seat?

I am after your knowledge. Got the bike coming soon and have been looking for a pannier for my Thruxton R. It needs to be easily placed on and removed as required. It does not need to be both sides just enough to put my laptop in etc. Any recommendation would be welcome.

 

Triumph ones will not accommodate a laptop, I tried

 

You might be better off getting a nice little rack put on the back, then you can strap what you like to it, although the thruxton is a sporty bike, its also a retro bike and would look quite nice.
Maybe a nice matt black one with a grab rail for a pillion.

 

I’m pretty sure none of the soft panniers will accommodate a laptop,this may a patent in the making.
I’ve got a magnetic tank bag that a laptop definitely wouldn’t fit in, and I use a MacBook Pro which is tiny.

So you’re going to have to look outside the box, my pal has what looks like a large back pack fitted behind the tailpiece of his fireblade, this would accommodate a lap top, if it appeals to you I’ll find out who makes it

 

Buy a second hand pillion type seat & attach Kriega 20 litre to it

 

These from Hepco and Becker seem to do the trick!

 

Those bags look quite functional. Are those standard stock bars?

 

Yes, they are the "stock" bars, I'm 74 so they are quite low enough!

 

That’s good to hear, I’m approaching 70 rapidly and have been concerned if this old body will be able to contort to the TTR’s riding position!

 

I find it quite comfortable, not as bad as i first thought it would be like.

 

I’m riding with the low clip on’s and they’re not drastically different from standard, so try both before you go for either
