Because......me and NUDGER have just booked a return ferry to the Isle of Man:grinning:
Going for a few days straight after Easter :grinning:
    Taking wor lass
Gonna be stopping at my nephews house so I don’t need all my camping gear but you know what bloody women are like :( we’re going on the Tuesday and coming back on Saturday :) so let’s see....4 nights...probably works out at 10 or more different outfits and at least 20 pairs of bloody knickers  and them double hammock things that they wear
If I’m lucky I might be able too squeeze a spare pair of grollies and a bottle of Jack Daniels :yum for myself

Two adults and one NUDGER return fare...£151:)
Dunno if they would of charged more for the trailer or not

Enjoy the trip mate. You should ride the TT course, at a nice slow pace so you can enjoy it and to get the real feel of how mad the road racers are....

That top box does look class and in the right colour for you :grinning:

Just a pity DD won’t give you any discount, I suppose that’s what business is all about the rich get richer;):)

When I was booking it earlier today I was given a choice of standard at about £330 or a short break offer at £151
The short break offer had sort of gold star/asterisk type thing next to it but I pressed it anyway expecting it to decline because of the dates or something but hey :grinning: bingo :grinning: it accepted my booking :)
    Happy days

I don’t know why the Steam Packet Co show two prices, everyone I know takes the cheaper price every time.
The gold star is the short break offer price for a 5day return.

Gotta take these home tonight and bolt them onto the rear bracket I made the other day :)
Then I can work out the length and angle of the next cuts so that they drop down either side of the bike without interfering with anything :confused:when I’m satisfied with it I’ll be welding as much as I can together :)
The less parts the better :)
I don’t want an over complicated mechano set:confused:
Hopefully I’ll end up with a two piece set of framework that the top box and panniers will just click on and off :)
Lockable though so I can leave them on while I go for a run off  or a cuppa :) AEB25BCC-9C9D-4EFA-84B0-78C483BF76EE.jpeg

    Fingers crossed
Like I said been in the garage tonight and did some measurements and marking out :)
Think I might be able to make this as a one piece that will be held on by three bolts either side
Hope that I can then I can just hang it on the garage wall in one piece when not in use :)
Will be using rear frame bolts already fitted to NUDGER so when the carrier frame comes off they go back in their holes and I don’t have a bag of bolts to store or worse lose them :)
might have to scrounge/acquire some more metal from work but shouldn’t be a problem :)

    :) That’s the rear done :)
Will bolt them in place tonight and start working out the side rails and best way to mount them
Bit of a problem area for the front mount but I think I know a way round it
Still gotta finish the top box mount as well but that bits easy peasy lemon squeezy :p
    Stuck at work
NUDGERS in the garage at home :(
So I’m stuck at the moment :( 1FA5E6EB-50B4-4922-9FC9-CB3118B82015.jpeg

In the garage last night with NUDGER :)
Have worked out a way to mount the side panniers :)
It’s still gonna end up as a one piece framework but I need to change the front mounting bolt as the one on NUDGERS frame isn’t long enough :(
This is so that nothing will be touching anywhere :)
Need to be left alone today (hopefully) so I can cut/shape the side rails and make a couple of mounting plates :)

Nice early start at work :)
Bolted the side rails together ready for cutting and shaping :)
This way they will end the same like I did with the rear drop rails :) A7A48638-A2A8-4056-B05F-2A1C061A0415.jpeg this will do for the pannier mounting plates :) 98AF364B-42E9-4B65-BFB2-CC5A42E04201.jpeg

Question Dilli, how much additional weight do your think the fabrication will add on the bike?
