im due a win this month, i haven't won for two months now, but since may i won £200, so heres hoping … i would sell up, buy a bigger house with a double garage and fill it with bikes. Have you seen the royal enfield continental, looks quite a nice bike for the money, although a little under powered i suppose would seem like riding a moped after riding our bikes.
i have the iphone app for the premium bonds, you can check just after the draw rather than wait two weeks, but anyway…. i always wait for agent millionaire to come knocking on my door, i hope he/she comes soon.
The funny thing about that, was I nearly ordered a 500 cafe racer custom, but decided on the Thruxton
I don’t know about a car if money was no object. Aston Martin probably. No Aston Martin definitely, then older classics. Lancia Fulvia, Austin Cooper S, Ferrari GT California. I’m dribbling now Bikes..996SPS, ZX7 RR, RC30,OWO1and 2 BSA b50 ss ( dad had one) so has one of my pals but daren’t tell him how much I want it, YZ 490J always wanted one then and still do now
Do not know exactly how it adapts, but adapts it does. Obviously there are changes to basic ignition timing / advance curves etc, fuelling adaptions, throttle response, higher red line, torque right the way to red line. As with any ECU it processes all info (Air / fuel / ignition) hundreds of times a second. You would need to ask him the exact science, if he is prepared to share such info with you. Have you already fitted PC? If so what difference have you detected?
No I’ve not fitted yet but ordered it from Woburn Triumph. But I do know it’s different to the usual power commanders in the way it fits, just plug into the standard ECU and Original ECU plug into the power commander, whereas you usually run a complete loom to injectors and ignition. So the Thruxton ECU must have more complex security that Hilltop have mastered. I may give them a call as I really only want the bike to adapt to decat, with or without baffles. Thanks Glyn
What do you think, that colour on the Standard with black forks, shocks. Or the R with the gold. I think R
I bought that second hand off EBay, honestly can’t remember what I paid but it was very reasonable,I liked it because the drilling matched the heel plates
Agreed the new continental looks the part. I'm thinking about going for a test ride just to see if the low power rating is a problem. They don't get into the dealers for a couple more weeks... Wessa
Glyn Is your Thrux fitted with 1200 HP or the 1200HT engine. Anyways I was thinking (dangerous I know) you are local to me, so if you wish to come over & ride mine as a comparison before you make those changes, you are more than welcome ( on a bend it you mend it basis of course)
Mines the HP engine and thank you very much for the offer but I’d never forgive myself if I did bend it
