One day, I'm going to buy myself a jacket from one of these fine makers. I think the biggest problem is deciding which one. So...if you could buy one of the three, which one would it be, and why?
Me too, one day... They all ooze history, look lovely, be interested to see what owners think. I guess as a Street Twin owner I'd lean to Lewis, if I were a cruiser owner then the US ones
The name Lewis leathers brings back so many memories, the company I used to despatch ride had a deal with them and you could buy a set of one piece leathers with the company logo on for next to nothing, all their gear back then was reasonably priced, my boots, trousers and jacket were all made by them, god I wish they hadn’t got thrown out. A couple of years ago I noticed they had a shop in London so decided I’d go in. Well that was an eye opener, a jacket for £700 plus also it was like walking into the Blue Oyster. I think the Lewis leather clientele has changed a bit from my day. Beautifully made though
Shame to have thrown them out mate - but would you still fit in them? Just how many times have you walked into the Blue Oyster?
You guys are cracking me up! I had the same reaction with Langlitz. Do a search on YouTube and you’ll see what I mean. I’m certain those guys are frequenting “The Manhole”, which is probably just down the road from The Blue Oyster.
Not the full English but I’m sure you’d get yourself a good mouthful of sausage and a handful of eggs!!
