triumph speed triple engine casting removal

    hi chaps, is it wise to drain oil from the engine before taken side casting off as they need re- painted also whats the best for re-coating powder coating or plastic coating or just plain old paint hope you can give helpfull advice thanks.

    Hi mate, just a little tip for you - when asking for advice it's better if you can give a bit more info such as bike model and year; existing paint finish etc.

    its a triumph speed triple 1050 05-reg casting need a re-vamp thinking gloss or satin finish just unsure

    Gloss or Satin? Ultimately that's down to personal preference. I've always felt that gloss gives a harder/better level of protection but would it work with the rest of the engine. I assume you'll be going for a paint that can take some heat?
