I really don’t know they are the chrome versions and have literally done 40 miles. If you really want them when you have a bit spare make me an offer. I’m not going to do anything with them so they’re surplus
Ok thanks! I'll have to look at how much they are new!! Where are you guys based? It would be nice to get a Thruxton ride out going! Once the weather improves OBVIOUSLY!
North of or south of!?!! Me and the mrs did a trip around the entire coast of the UK and the absolute worst bit was going through the Dartford Tunnel, wasn't helped by riding 200 miles in driving rain!
Drilled out the baffles on my factory fitted exhausts. Much better sound, slightly more power & a nice popping on the overrun. (The ECU has been remapped)
Yes that looks like an option Glyn, and Ken, it looks like you made a good tidy job of that, was it much of a job and what size hole cutter did you use,? i have seen this being done on you tube, he had to do alot of twisting of the baffle to break a small spot weld once it was loose, is that what you had to do …?
Just cannot see where the 5k is, personally Id rather customise the R and have a 1 of 1 and £3k change
I already had that seat made before these images were released and aside from a paint job and bit of powder coating its just doesn’t add up, You could get a Thruxton R preowned for £9k and for £2000 have a unique paint job plus all the powder coating and a great custom seat made (thats actually comfortable to sit on all day).
i suppose the bike is being marketed as its supposed to be bling'd up with carbon fibre, i do like the black side casings and the black rims but can't see how it can be £17.5k, anyone buying one will be afraid to ride it, or indeed leaving it parked on the street.
Since this picture the side casing has been blacked and the front fender and mounts are in for a nice gloss/matt black spray, have 2 more custom seats being made one single and one double that Im excited about.....watch this space. Then it will have a custom paint job in the winter or next year, Rims will be powder coated black when it has its next set of tyres on and the replacement chain (once worn) will be gold
As I said before, the guy who did my fairing is really good and reasonable for whatever you need. Have a ride to Lakeside and have a chat with him
