Evening all...I've just put a deposit down on an 04 plate 955i today. First bike, it's something I've put off doing for many, many years. I've always loved bikes just never seemed to find the right time to get one.

Hi and welcome... It does not matter how long it takes you get to riding a motorbike, only that you have now done it. Lovely looking bike you have there. Ride safe my friend.......

It is mate, the decals are a little ropey in places and it has a couple of very minor scuffs on it but it's in in excellent condition for its age. Not having it delivered for a few weeks due to work but I'll let you know how my first ride goes.

well. there are hundreds of adds here in the US for nice bikes, many HD,s, lightly used bikes of guys who go thru Mid life crisis. Hey, im now over 50, have some extra cash, never ridden a real bike. So, they go out buy a bike way to big for a beginner and it scares the crap out of them. It sits in the garage until the wife says sell it you dunce. Not to dissuade you, but start out small and cheap. See if its really what you want. Then move up incremental to bigger and more powerful.

Mid life?? Whew, you caught it just in time. Remember; you don't stop going fast because you get old, you get old because you stop going fast. Welcome.
