Just bought a chrome battery cover, bloody thing doesn't fit! That'll teach me to buy pattern crap just to save a few quid. :frown:
I was tempted to take a mallet to the bugger, a right pain in the arse! It's the usual, 'well we've sold loads without any problem'. BOLLOX!!!
And to make matters worse, someone's bid on those mirrors! I'll have to got to silly money now. Not you is it Duncan?
Why would i bid on them my friend? Ive already bagged by genuine Triumph drilled stem ebay bargain mirrors for £53 & they are very nice to thanks
Clocked up another 200 miles on the America today with my lad as pillion. Had a reminder that im still in the transition period from sportsbike to cruiser as i kept scraping my footboards on the twisties & roundabouts
Today I left work and petrol light came on, 24 miles to home, no problem I thought. Petrol station half way, I thought. Wrong, closed for re-fit. Got filled up 1 mile from home, result! Day 4 on the new Bonnie and loving it! 130 miles on first tank, which wasn't full. Happy days indeed, the old Sportster is but a distant memory now. Oops, day 5. Old age getting to me.
There's about 50+ miles on my Speed once the fuel light comes on.. last 2 tanks i got 50 miles out of reserve and still had over 3 litres left in the tank.... as only filled up 15 litres. pretty good on fuel...
Swapped the battery cover today, the original one I had was quite obviously about 5mm out. Sods law states, that if something is machined wrong, or a 'Friday afternoon' job, someone says 'bollocks sell it to Tone' The amount of crap I've bought over the years that doesn't fit, work, or falls apart astounds me. Well second time lucky.
