    Just seen the belt drive kits for the Bonneville T120 looks a good way to keep the rear cleaner and from premature stretchy chains. Has anyone done this conversion?

    sounds like an interesting option, probably one that our U.S.A. cousins have tried and tested.
    Hate to tell you this but a cat has just eaten your parrot

    Don’t mind a bit of oil flying around, it’s the plan ‘B’ rust prevention that triumph uses!

    True, but it's the want thing that is the bug. Also keeping the rear end free of dirty grease and road grime is a bonus. I don't personally worry about the cost. Just sell another part on ebay takes care of that .

    Hmmm. My idea of an expensive solution to a problem that has been inserted in your head. If you are worried about dirt use less lube. You will only be riding on dry roads......won’t you? ;)

    @Cupoftea

    Hi mate. We have one of that part left in stock we bought in for conversions we did last year. We can discount down to match the price Harley are quoting plus postage. They do need to be fitted correctly though. If you'd like us to do it at Woburn you need to budget for two hours labour. PM me if you're interested or better still phone 01525 292490 and ask to speak to Paul and mention this 'conversation'.

    Hi, yep i have fitted one to my T120r pre unit Triton, i also had an oil seal conversion on the crank, works fine, no mess and no chain noise, just remember not to over tighten the belt as it affects the clutch. I fitted electronic ignition and a power system working of the crank so had to fit a spacer to the primary case, they are available on e bay if needed.
    I used Dresda for my drive, knows his stuff and very helpfull.
    Good luck, kenny.

    Hi Kenny,
    Unfortunately we are talking about final drive not primary, but thanks for the info.

    I was looking at one of these for the ST. I'm attracted to the "clean back end syndrome". As Rocker previously said...about 3 or 4 chain/sprocket sets. (Nothing really to a Triumph owner ;))
    I'm looking forward to not having to lube etc. :)
