When they first came out in 2016 (and being a previous 865 T100 owner) I rode both the 900 and the 1200.

The 900 was alright engine-wise but the handling and feel of the bike I couldn't get on with.

The 1200 by comparison was as near perfect as you could get. Handled really great, really neutral and the engine is a real torque monster, even on the test bike with no kms on the clock.

If anyone goes for the 1200, they won't go back - imo.

I second that, I’ve had people say to me “that must be really difficult to keep clean” and to be honest certainly easier than my GSA that I had before to clean!

Thanks for the encouragement. It seems like most owners don't ride much. I have taken the plunge and bought new. It's got vance and hines plus the shop is fitting the decat for me so I will have a free breathing T120, also will fit the K&n to complete.

Hey man. Congrats on the beautiful new scooter. Just purchased mine on Saturday, but couldn't bring it home due to snow. Went non-black as my Harley is all blacked out.

Hey like the red wine colour. Ive had red bikes nearly all the time and after getting my Africa Twin in stealth black, got into the black theme.
Iv'e also added the decat before collection.

The matte black looks nice, but I prefer the gloss look. I almost feel like I'd be less inclined to clean the bike if it were matte vs gloss.

Years ago, I was given a set of Phantoms to go on my Honda CB750. They were the strangest pattern in tyres. Nothing was like them at the time and they went down to the very edge in lean. Wonder what they are like now?

I'm riding a T120 as well, with Phantoms. I'm not a real fan, when my tyres need a replacement, I would like to try the Avon Storm. Unless somebody can tell me they are worse :D

Now you have started something ... you will now have dozens of different recommendations, tyres are such personal thing, it's all about confidence, if you don't feel happy on a particular brand you won't ride with as much confidence.
BTW - If anyone mentions Avon Road Runners o_O or Dunlop TT100's :eek:they are probably senile & sat in a puddle of their own urine! :p

You're a funny dog Dilli
I don't wear a nappy (honest ) but remember TT100's on a XS400 Yam that was a courier company bike back in the early 80's, feckin horrible tyres, you used to literally fall off the edge of the tyre as they were more or less square!

The only issues I had with Avons are that they are spun and not molded. I believe it makes them very well balanced. Trouble is if the wheel is not then you will have a lot of balance weights attached.
