I'm getting rid of the nasty aftermarket LED indicators on my 'Tona - I'm sure they are duller than the OEM lamps and look plain nasty - by upgrading the original door knobs with LED bulbs off evil Bay, fitting decent quality resistors and tidying up the current lashed up wiring........ Live test later today!
If the bike in this picture was mine I would have been polishing it today and every day. If it was Newmans, what would it be worth? His favorite rolex watch was sold after his death for just over 17 million. What year the bike?
Just took my Speedmaster out and bought her a new ignition key at Keyway London Rd Grays- great service from theses guys. Good excuse to go out for a quick spin, you need to check it works!
Yeah agreed its badly done. The theory is sound enough and after hearing reports it doesnt work its good to see it can, even if only enough to run a light and maintain the battery. I stumbled across this, is all.
Riding from Essex to Weymouth (Dorset) tomorrow, so went for a little spin this afternoon to make sure everything ok. Then-refuelled, tyre pressures checked, chain lubed with molyslip CV grease. Looking forward to the trip (once the motorways are out of the way) The Thruxton R has been laid up for 6 weeks.
Bit late responding, but do look into Lithium battery chargers if you don't have one already. They require and hold a higher voltage
Speed triple 2010 New tyres yesterday- Michelin Road 5 used the local tyre fitter £10 a wheel Balanced at home, lovely jubley Cleaned and lubed the chain Cleaned the rear caliper, removed a ground down hex pin, came out easy with the right tools Got bored last night and found myself ordering a set of Hel brake hoses and Iridiyum spark plugs (with free dot 4 oil from sportsbikeshop, so that's okay)
Keeping the Triumph shiny and warm so on the POS gs 750 no washing required after Picture is a year old it's proper fecking dirty now
